Royce's is clearly very popular among the locals. We found to be typical of many fast-food places, with blanched, grey, almost flavorless, thin beef patties for the burgers. The lettuce is thinly shredded, and the cheese-- which i did NOT want--is not real cheese. You get two patties with extra bread in between; .the burgers would taste so much better if the two patties were combined into one and grilled without being preblanched. We got sustenance, but that's the best I can say.

Great smooth and unusual shakes, decent hamburgers and chicken burgers. Fries don't taste greasy and the wait staff seems quite damn nice. A good place to go if you're hungry.
